We have been providing hosting solutions for customers worldwide since 1997, and can provide you with a range of quality LINUX-based hosting and related services to suit your requirements and budget, either in shared or dedicated, hardware or cloud configurations. With most of our customers, we provide a 'managed hosting' service where we look after the hosting environment on their behalf.
As part of this managed service, we also assess the level of hosting required in each instance, and so have developed a range of solutions from inexpensive hosting in a shared server environment, to a variety of dedicated solutions depending on the growth of each website and the complexity and security of its requirements. So we can provide inexpensive hosting which progresses to better and better, more resilient and powerful servers on either cloud or hardware, including the provision of multi-server clusters with auto-failover protocols to provide the most resilient hosting possible.
We currently partner with a range of providers which we are able to match with the requirements of each specific client, including AWS, Digital Ocean, UK Fast, Node4 and Fasthosts. Domain Name Provision, Renewal and On-going Management
A further extension of our managed service is for domain names. Freetimers is an accredited Nominet Registrar (IPSTAG holder) as well as authorised resellers of all the main domain extensions, and we have been doing this for many years. This means we can acquire and manage domain names and DNS settings for you, keeping you abreast of renewal dates and more, on an on-going basis. Believe it, having a professional service manage your DNS can be a huge relief because it can be a bit of a minefield. Because of the close connection between DNS and hosting or email, we also find that when other parties are involved it can cause problems as well as delays to sorting these out. With our experience, we also regularly assist new clients with DNS or domain name problems, such as recovering domain names when they are lost or suspended. Email and Anti-Spam Services
We usually provide email services as part of our hosting, but we can also assist with helping you establish your own email provision with Exchange, Google, Microsoft and others. Hosting Security and BackUps
We can provide you with GDPR-compliant hosting, with encryption at rest as well as for data-in-transit. For the latter, we can provide and instal from a wide range of digital certificates from the ultra-cheap to domain, server-wide and audited versions. As part of our hosting we also will automatically keep a range of backups to ensure there is basic protection for website owners should a disaster occur either from system or hardware failure or unwanted interventions from un-authorised 3rd parties.
