Most of our clients have come to us because we provide more--an on-going interest in your business. That means we start by finding out everything we can about your organisation, its style and identity, how long you've been established, what your plans are, what you make or sell, who the customers are you sell to, what are their needs that you fulfil, and what it is about your business and products that encourage people to buy. By knowing these things we can provide you with the assistance that you really need, that will do the job.
We are often asked "how much for a website", and in a good proportion of these instances, we will say we don't know because for us it matters that we provide the website that the business in front of us needs. Sometimes this may even mean we tell the client they don't need a website and explain why. We don't see any purpose in providing you with something that you don't need or that won't make a difference.
A small proportion of potential customers don't understand this approach, and why we ask questions and expect us to simply tell them the price. We're sorry, but if that is what you want, then we're not for you. Most of the time clients appreciate the interest, and then, later on, they see what a difference it makes. It is not really a surprise to us that the businesses we appeal to mostly are what we would call 2nd or 3rd generation website owners. These are businesses that have tried just buying a website, or used a developer sole trader and found what they have received is inadequate and insufficient to really make a difference.
Very often new clients will explain how they had been told they only need this or that and suddenly their online presence will be successful. This approach was sometimes successful in the past but now, in this established Internet world, it's usually not so simple. Success online is hard-graft, and it takes an on-going proactive approach that produces what customers need and continuously adapts to changes and new challenges. Believe us, in our 20+ years in this business we have seen monumental changes which we have to continuously adapt to, so we know very well what other businesses are going through.
Once we know who you are, what you do and how and why you do it, then we see it as our job to assist you building up your business. We'll act like a strategic partner, and help you navigate the challenges and opportunities that arise. And yes, we'll work with you as much as you want to help you determine business strategies and the tactics to bring them to fruition. If wanted, we'll put forward ideas, consider and discuss your ideas, and importantly, play a devel's advocate role to help ensure the full implications and risks of any course of action are understood, all so you can proceed with confidence.
Rome wasn't built in a day. Humanity did not just go to the moon, we had to work hard at it over many years. But it was achieved, and it is amazing how much can still be achieved today, given the right commitment, investment, planning and realistic expectations.
We can help you do it. We understand that budgets are always limited and that achieving goals often means walking a financial tightrope. Particularly for smaller businesses, phasing in change and new capabilities or functionality all take time and money, so budgets have to be set and managed. We're used to working like this, and we can show you how well it has worked and contributed to the success of many of our clients. You can be confident that we're in the relationship for the long-term, and we have many clients where our relationship has spanned for more than 10 years, so we figure we must be doing something right.
If our approach sounds like what you're looking for, contact us today for an informal discussion of your needs and how we can help you meet them.
